Would you believe me if I told you that this piece is actually on my bookshelf? After volunteering at the Archive for a year or so, Steve gave this to me as a thank-you gift right after John K’s WHEN CARTOONS WERE CARTOONY ASIFA-Archive fundraiser show at the Van Eaton Gallery. I was floored!
This is absolutely my favorite (and only!) piece of historical, original cartoon artwork in my possession. If I ever get a house - you can bet this piece’ll be framed and hanging on the wall. Thanks again Steve!
By the way, I’ll be taking this to the Archive next week for proper scanning (I had to scan it in seperate pieces at home) so it can be shared with everyone. Maybe it can even be included in the exhibit? We’ll see…
